Go to your carrier's Store first and ask what your current trade in value would be.
I'm getting $900 for my note 20 ultra, making the S26 ultra about $400.

Hey,which carrier values note20ultra at 900? Hopefully I don't have to stay with them 24 to 36 months for that.

It was AT&t and since I have no plans of changing any time soon I did agree to stay with them for the 3-year term. I did not want to give up my beloved note 20 ultra, but the signal was so bad on it for the past month and I use it for work so I had no choice.
I had gotten the Note 20 ultra from a slickdeals 6 years ago and I'm sure I paid less than $900 and got a bunch of bonuses with it, after trading in a not used Galaxy s7.

except they almost certainly locked you in to a 24 or 36 month contract for that rate.
Where is the "deal"? I tried to enter a couple of my smartphones to see the trade in value, and it's way better to use Samsung official store. I have S25 Ultra at the moment and new S26 Ultra will cost me $579 with the trade-in.

I think Best Buy did a similar deal for the S26 series already, they also refund the tax charged for the difference.
