Wish Timex could significantly reduce the ticking loudness in their watches. Had one long time ago then gave up since.

It's a basic watch nothing fancy good to keep on the wrist and not be afraid to loose or scratch. Ticking on a watch is a given at this price point. Don't expect a sweeping motion.
