  • Ratchet only needs a 5° swing to turn fasteners in tight spaces
  • Each SAE and metric Pass-Thru socket does the job of a standard and a deep socket combined
  • Pass-thru sockets' universal design fits 6 fastener types - hex, square, 12-point, E-Torx, partially rounded hex, and spline
  • Includes socket rails and bit holder for storage and organization
  • Alloy steel for durability, and black oxide finish resists corrosion

I have the Craftsman version (Maxx Axxcess) made by Gearwrench, use it all the time at work.

Solid deal. Amazon has this about a week or so ago for about $34.00. Gearwrench has a great warranty program, too. If something breaks, they'll just ask you to take a picture of the broken tool and send it to them, and they'll send you the replacement tool for free. Harbor has a similar Pittsburgh set that sells for $28.00.

I have them and the craftsman version. The only reason craftsman version is better is because it comes in a case. lol. There is no extension for these, and it's pass through, so why would you want an extension? I have found, maybe two or three times out of dozens, where the bolt is bigger than the hole. But the amount of time saved on the others, well worth it. This is a great second set of sockets to own. I wouldn't own only this set.

I've had the silver version in 3/8 drive for about 15 years and really like it. I do use the extension frequently. It came with a case and max size is 3/4". This set on sale appears to have no case or extension but does have some larger sizes.

I have a couple sets of Craftsman Prof flare nut wrenches and a Craftsman Prof pry bar set, all new. Was contemplating of unloading them.

Yes hard to believe what the Craftsman Max Axess are going for now and what Sears discounted them for when they were closeouts. Thep pass thought style is so convenient, if I were to buy just one style socket set pass through would be the choice. Shame on gearwrench for not providing a case.
