I'm on the fence. This is one of the better looking limited editions they've done but lately I've been putting controller grips on my Dualsense which would cover a lot Of it…

Or just buy a stick drift analog for $5 on AliExpress and replace it yourself? You're a man right it's not that hard

I bought a DualSense Edge, and regret it.

When the PS5 came out, I swore I'd get an "elite" controller ASAP for hand health, even though they had been diabolically overpriced at 2x just for some rear buttons and trigger stops (I just care about the rear buttons). The DualSense felt so good it instantly became my favorite corpo controller, so even if the "Elite" would cost $120-$130 "it would be worth it" if I used it for as much of the console lifespan as possible.

Well, frankly, the reality of the Edge sucks. $200! The sticks use the same lower quality Alps potentiometers as the DSS and DS4, not as good as the PS3 and PS2, and _when_ they fail the Edge joystick modules cost $20 EACH. The Edge weighs like twice as heavy as a regular controller. The DSS already has a short battery life, but even with the extra weight the Edge only lasts 4-3 hours! There's just two rear buttons, and they're the most hair-trigger switches (activated by accident a lot) and the paddles or half-domes attach in a wobbly way best compared to a loose tooth. The trigger stops work, but overall the controller feels like too many feature were tacked on that will rarely be useful, mostly it feels worse than the standard DSS... for $200!!?!??

I paid less through a sale, but I preferred the PC controllers by GuliKit, Gamesir, DigiFly, and 8BitDo. All of those PC controllers feel better and cost less, but of course I can only use them with PS5 if I remote stream to my iPad or PC. I kept my Edge, but frankly when the TV's being used I always use these other controllers or my Steam Deck instead (bonus credit to the Deck for being able to add touch-activated gyro aiming to games that don't support gyro on PS5 natively!).Like others have said, I'd rather buy the inexpensive TMR Joystick sensor replacements on AliExpress; I'd be willing to mod this controller. I may try modding my Edge with TMR sticks and a bigger battery, maybe see if I can cut away things to reduce the weight...

Regardless of your sex, getting TMR joystick sensors on AliExpress is good advice. PS3-era potentiometers were higher quality than what Sony uses now, so I agree I wish Sony produced products better than or at least in line with the quality and price of today's third party gamepads.
