I used to use pre-emergent products for crabgrass but could never get the timing right on soil temps for application. This is easier and works just as well.

I usually buy one bottle that is the hose sprayer and a couple bottles of this and just refill the hose sprayer - don't have to worry about metering and it is cheaper.

yeah that works. i just use a sprayer and mix 5-6 oz in a gallon with a couple tbs of dishsoap
