This is MSRP, and according to the site you'll be waiting 3 weeks for delivery or store pickup. Not a deal.

So you're rushing out to buy what instead? With 48GB RAM. With a 16" 2.8K 120Hz 1000nit display, and from the reviews I've seen, a pretty kick-ass top-notch new-generation CPU and GPU, and you gotta wait? And $1700 for all that is "not a deal"?
Maybe you waited too long because when they were first on BB, delivery was just a few days.

MSRP or not, find another laptop with these specs and 48GB RAM for less than $1700 and let us know.

Fortunately for you, there's tons of other top-of-the-line laptops with 48GB RAM for $1599 or less. /s

Let us know out of all those choices, which one you chose.

You are thinking of ASUS Zenbook A14. This is A16, slight bump in specs.

No, the A16 was $1600 on embargo review release day and then got a $100 price increase before the 11:59PM the same day.

And the A16 is way more than a slight bump in specs, not even sure why anyone would bother with the A14 unless it drops to sub $1,000 or someone really cant handle a slightly bigger laptop (2.2 vs 2.7 lbs)

I guess I don't understand the downvotes. Sure, it would be nice if Best Buy had stuck with their original price of $1599.99 but the MSRP on the Asus site is $1999.99 unless I'm mistaken. If so, that would be a $300 discount at the current price of $1699.99. Also, I'm kind of surprised at the general take this is an expensive laptop. If you compare to something like the 2026 LG Gram Pro you're looking at mid $2K figures and I would say this laptop is a steall relatively speaking with superior specs. Granted LG vastly overprices their Gram product because they have zero (or had zero) competition in the ultralight large screen laptop space, but this is exactly what I'm looking for. Something light, powerful, with a large screen, centered keyboard and excellent display.

Agreed. I don't think people have been shopping laptops lately and seen the prices. Samsung's Book6 Pro with 16GB is $2200 and 32GB is almost $2600. This ASUS with 48GB is a steal at current pricing of $1700, especially considering all the other specs are high-end also.

I think a lot of the downvotes are people who just are fundamentally against Snapdragon ARM chips and Windows.

Didn't Google sorry but can you tell me about compatibility and gaming?

Some very current reviews have shown both great compatibility and great casual gaming performance.

I like Andrew, but the only high-volume channel doing "real" and "true" reviews is Just Josh (https://youtube.com/@justjoshtech), who has not reviewed this laptop yet.

Usually Andrew (AMD) will say upfront whether the laptop was supplied to him or whether he bought and paid for the laptop with his own money. I like that he does that so you know when to take a review as unbiased or not.
