I've seen many post that lowes does not do the same "hack" as homedepot. Everyone says they make you return the whole deal.

Unless you were able to do it yourself? What shows in the cart doesn't mean anything if they wont accept the return.

I haven't done it with this tool, but I did it twice when they had the DeWalt Grabo on sale for $150.00 with this same battery. From what I've seen, if you buy online, there is no prorated price on the reciept, so you can't return just one item. If you buy in store, it prorates on the reciept, so you can return one.
