I agree. Not sure what the point of a 3/8 version is. I'm one of the few people that actually owns a 3/8 breaker bar and almost never use it. you would just use an actual ratchet instead.

The 1/2" extra long breaker bars we use breaking lugs loose all the time and the 1/2" ratcheting adapter is super handy. I have two of them and use them all the time.

The reason it makes sense for a 1/2" breaker bar is because 25" long 1/2" ratchets aren't commonly available.

It makes sense. I never ever had any of these ratcheting breaker bar adapters. However I remember working on my exhaust and I was in a spot where I had my 1/2" breaker bar but with the awkward angle, the handle couldn't get enough wiggle room clearance. I could have used this 1/2" adapter there. I eventually probably used a thicker tooth ratchet and a pipe to get it off or just cut it. The seized up rusted blob under carriage bolts are using my 1/2" ratchets. I rarely use my 3/8" breaker bar compared to the 1/2" breaker bar.

Handy to use to start small motors with drill. 1/2 inch ratcheting breaker bar adapters are usually $11-12 so $9 is a decent price

I saw someone on youtube use one of these in a drill to start a motor on a generator from the crank. Pretty cool trick if you're in a pinch.

I don't need a breaker bar unless it's 1/2 inch and if my impact doesn't get it, I know I'm just busting a nut....lol

I have used mine for this very thing also. An old Mac tools ratcheting breaker adapter 1/2-in. I almost grabbed the half inch last week just to compare quality. But since I didn't need it I just saved 10 bucks. I can tell you I paid a lot more for my Mac years ago and I didn't see any cheap alternatives like these then or I probably would have.

when I bought my 1/2" it was on sale for $8.69, same as the 3/8". They used to go on sale together.
