Anyone have experience or detailed opinions? I would use it for work, database development, and usual surfing, shopping, reading, and occasional video editing. And for this width, is there a benefit to straight or curved? Thanks in advance!

I have it, great for engineering, cad, and all of the above you listed. Yes, you can play games on it if wanted, I have my ps4 pro plugged into mine. 3 inputs I believe 2 dp, 1 hdmi. PIP.
I have never owned any curved screen monitors or tvs so I can't compare. Curved, to me, seems like fad. Cool but unnecessary.

I have both. Entertainment/gaming I prefer curved monitors. For work I like either two stacked 34" curved widescreen or 4 flat panel 27" monitor for fit rectangle for viewing. Just my preference.
I find the curve only noticeable in gaming on wider monitors 32+ inchs, minor increase to immersion on various style games.

I've never had problems getting monitors setup with a config that had reasonably good brightness, clarity, etc. and this one just seems to be too crappy at the hw level

I picked one up two weeks ago, replaced two very good ViewSonic 27-in monitors that were several years old.
I work from home and I'm staring at it all day...I really like it.
