What an epic typo / misplacement of a decimal. That's FOUR HUNDRED AND THIRTY TWO cu in per pack, not 4.32. At 4.32 cu-in per pack, it'd be like paying 100 bucks for a handful of splinters.

Agreed, standard everyday price for 450-500 cu-in packs of chunks at Academy are 8 to 9 bucks. You're saving like 5 bucks. I'll stick to what I know, I always get nervous with random no-name brands online for fuel-related stuff.

I trust your pricing assessment. Just FYI- I've been using Fire & Flavor brine mixes & rubs for years, with excellent results. They're a high quality American brand with great products. Don't be shy to try them out.

Academy Sports is a good place to shop for smoking needs.

Man, Academy has really upped their grilling-related game the past couple years. Ours here carries most of the full lineups from Hardcore Carnivore, Moe Cason's, Hot Ones (hot sauces) and way more. They also carry Meat! brand grinder/sausagemaking stuff, and are starting to get into carrying Old Country Pits and more.

For me personally here, it all started about 5 years ago when Ace Hardware decided to throw down the gauntlet and go deep into grilling stuff. Like, a fifth of the store. Academy followed suit a few years later.

Thanks for the rec and for vouching for it. Granted it's smoking wood, so it's hard to mess that up lol.

I'll keep in mind next time I run outta chunks, I just reloaded at Academy last month on the full spread.
