I think you had a typo in OP description .. its not Moto G Power 2026 but the regular Moto G 2026, isn't it?

With that clarified, I believe the deals on Moto G Power 5G 2024 (much more powerful/better spec'ed phone for the price with an exception of less number of remaining android updates) is a better one IMHO:

With Verizon Activation: https://slickdeals.net/f/19362327-motorola-moto-g-power-2024-unlocked-w-new-verizon-postpaid-line-activation-27-40-activation-fee-w-free-s-h

Without Verizon Activation but Visible Sim Combo: https://slickdeals.net/f/19378584-motorola-moto-g-power-2024-unlocked-1-month-35-visible-prepaid-service-107-free-s-h

Yeah, the old one is a better deal if you can live with outdated software.

Too much trouble for such a little cheap phone, I rather get the 2024 Moto G Power and call it a day, plenty of deals available, and it's faster, double the ram, better camera and screen.

I liked my Moto G7 a lot, for it's time. But the next Motorola I bought was a flagship for their brand and awful. Pixels are so much better and I don't even like them that much.

I did it. It was a headache. Several calls and time wasted. They don't do prorated. They bill you for the whole month. After several calls I actually was able to avoid all the charges at the end. Lots of stress tho.

Motorola phones offer some of the best bang for the buck, like the Moto G Stylus. But their software/security support can be a dealbreaker.

Moto G and mid-range devices have historically been closer to two OS upgrades and about three years of security patches, while premium Edge and Razr models often offered three OS upgrades and four years of security updates.

2026 Motorola Signature promise of seven years of OS and security updates

other sources say Moto G Play, which is the cheapest model of the G series, has 0 years of OS upgrades (usually stays on same version) and 3 years of security updates

and the G Power and G 5G might be closer to 1 year of OS upgrades instead of 2

Motorola ThinkPhone 25: 5 years of security updates and OS upgrades
