Just wanted to add a data point.

This worked for me today in Texas for an S26+.

I went to Walmart and bought the Moto G 2025 64gb, turned it on and got to the home screen, went to spectrum and traded it in.

Spectrum had to select "Other" for carrier and I got the $400 off plus $705 for the trade in. It seems like taxes were on the price of the phone minus the trade in value, so taxed on $395 at 8.25% taxes were $32.58.

In total I paid $27.57 to Spectrum (1100-400-705=-5 +32.58 tax)

On top of that I paid Walmart $32.35.

So all in was $59.92.

It's instant in the spectrum stores. Online it takes a few weeks.

I think this is one of the cheapest, easiest to purchase phone that qualifies for $705.

I just received that email after I placed an order online. I clicked on the link to upload my document, but the page yielded an error. I guess I just wait for a few hour to see the results like you said.

Update: I was able to upload my driver license ID successfully and a few hours later, they charged my credit card and emailed me with title "Mail order details" which included $700 promotions. Looks like it is good to go.
Did you use an existing line or open a new line in your last order?

Thanks for all valuable advice here, I already got one S26 and two S26+ under two lines, a free line and a $20 line, during this cycle. Not sure what I would do with all these new phones...haha...thinking to trade one of them in and get an Iphone 17 or 17se, since there is a $200 discount going on with Iphones.

I was using an existing $20 line that has been successful for 2 in-store trades already and this is the 3rd time for trade-in Moto g 5g 2025.

I just placed an online order and I received an email which required me to provide document to verify my identity. Damn never happened to me online before. Yesterday the system denied my order in-store due to fraud protection.
They been asking me for ID verification since the S24 series.

Do they allow trade in for locked s26 phones to get iPhone? I asked to one rep & she told I can't trade in it

Why not? I traded in a locked Moto G for an S26+ last week. Last year, I also traded in a locked S25 for an S25+. I think what the rept meant was that we would not be able to trade in a phone that is still on payment plan.

Have you seen something like this on your Spectrum account "Limited Time: Customer Appreciation FREE Offer Get an additional Unlimited Mobile line FREE for 1 year with Spectrum Internet®.". I am not sure if we need to call in for such an offer?

If you have recently started with internet ask them about the $400 credit when adding a phone line. This was done at Spectrum store and I had no idea it was available. I'm not sure if you have to purchase a 26 Ultra but when I checked out I said I really like the Ultra and then he came back with if you purchase the Ultra we can give you a $400 credit. I think the catch was it had to be done on payments--I paid mine in full so he did a work around and the credit is now on my account. If you've already purchased everything--still ask them as mine was purchased last Thursday. He mentioned that the internet should have been purchased in the last 30 days but thought they might have a little wiggle room on that. Never hurts to ask. So I ended up with the Ultra and paid $200 more and received a $400 credit. Wish I knew if it worked on the 26+ Don't be deceived by the size difference in the Ultra vs 26+ It's hardly noticeable but the way they have them in the store it looks a lot larger. Unless you need the nicer camera--I wouldn't bother--My personal opinion just based on size and my needs. This $400 credit is NOT the same as the $400 off the phone--it's in addition to it.

I was asking rep about s26+ fully paid for trade in for iPhone & she said if phone purchased from spectrum, can not trade in for 12 months. Maybe need to check with different store.By the way if you get successful, let us know

For those that can't buy in store anymore---were you successful on ordering online after your order wouldn't go through in store?

yeah ordering online is fine, at most they'll ask you to verify ID via an email.

You should check the invoice and see exactly what it shows.

Sure! But I have not decided to do that yet:p. On a side note, in another S26-related thread, there was a guy who traded in a Spectrum S26 he just purchased for an Iphone 17e in store.

This $400 credit was applied after the purchase of the phone. I purchased phones last Thursday and manager just put this credit on my account yesterday. I paid for phones when purchasing them so only paid sales tax, $20 activation, (excluding free line) and $20 monthly fee (excluding the free one) This credit was for having internet and adding a phone line. Like I said before--I'm not sure if the phone had to be a Ultra or could have been a Plus. He offered this when I said I really liked the Ultra so I switched the Ultra. Here is the credit posted and remember my phones were all paid in full so the $400 for phone came off of those receipts. This is because of new internet and new phone line combo Promo Service Credit Phone - $11.12 I had no idea about this extra $400 until the sales person told me about it. Where are the credits listed on my account? I can't find the $400 listed anywhere but this came off as of yesterday/today. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention tho and thanks a million for posting this and helping everyone out. You Rock!!!!
