If the network status says "unlocked" then is it safe to assume phone is unlocked? Or do we need to insert a different carrier Sim to verify it ?

Yes, it is unlocked permanently; but in some MVNO like Xfinity Mobile, it can't be installed with ESIM but it will work with a SIM card no matter what. I ran into this problem last year when I sold my S25 Ultra to eBay customer. Why? I didn't know why, but I was glad the buyer was willing to use the SIM card instead of ESIM.

Did you unlock them before removing the lines? What was the reason those two failed?
Nope, I recommend don't delete the line until they are all unlocked. Put the line into suspension stage. I already removed my 3 new lines, but it is ok and I don't see any problems yet. For the denial ones, the reason is not enough 60 days in consecutive active mode and this reason is common. It will be unlocked in the future guarantee.

Successfully had 2 unlocked in one chat. First one was on Free line and 2nd was on a suspended line. Super easy. The other 2 should be ready tomorrow to unlock which both are on suspended lines.
Hahaha good for you. Now we know the suspended line will work on unlock. The problem with mine is I have multiple phones activated on each new line. Greedy 😀😀 ...Just like the free line, so I have to deal with arbitrary situation and it is ok.

I wanted to share my experience in case it helps others dealing with the 60-day unlock policy.
I purchased an S26 on 4/1 from a local store using a physical SIM. Later, when the S26 Plus promotion started, I ordered an S26 Plus online on the same line on 4/16. I never unboxed the S26 Plus and continued using my S26, assuming it would become eligible for unlocking around 6/1.
When I contacted support, the online agent told me that because a new order was placed on the line on 4/16, the 60-day unlock timer had effectively reset, and I would need to wait until 6/16.
On 6/16, I contacted support again to request the unlock. The agent said he sent an unlock signal, but I never received anything on my S26 (the S26 Plus was still sealed in the box). Since I couldn't confirm receipt of the unlock signal, he opened a support ticket.
Later, I received a call regarding the ticket. The agent mentioned she was sending the unlock signal to the IMEI ending in XXXX, which turned out to be the S26 Plus. That's when I realized the system was treating the S26 Plus as the active device on my line. I quickly unboxed it, connected it to Wi-Fi, and was able to receive the unlock signal and unlock the S26 Plus.
Since the system was now showing the S26 Plus as the active device, I moved my physical SIM from the S26 to the S26 Plus and then back to the S26 so the system would update to the S26.
The next day (6/17), I contacted support via chat and was able to get the S26 unlocked as well.
End result: both my S26 and S26 Plus are now unlocked. It took about 75 days from the original S26 purchase, but both devices were successfully unlocked in the end.
Hopefully this helps someone who has multiple devices on the same line and is wondering why the unlock request isn't reaching the phone they're actually using.

When I was in chat the person asked to verify that the phones that needed to be unlocked were physically turned on and on Wifi. So yes phones need to be turned on in order to get them unlocked however they do not need to be active. One of mine was on a suspended line. When requesting the unlock--I did the one on free line first then they asked if there was something else I needed and I said yes I need this other phone unlocked (the phone that was suspended) Today I need to unlock 2 other suspended phones and then I'll be done for now Wink. However I will need to come back later and get the lines canceled and off of my account.

Yes for this year Smilie. I only paid the activation and the first month of service for the 3 phones. Not bad $40 plus tax for the S26 Plus.

I suspended mine before the 1st 30 days ended so I didn't have to pay another $20 and I just unlocked the first phone on the suspended line. No I did not re-activate it--just left it suspended and asked for the phone to be unlocked. I gave them the last 4 digits of number and phone IMEI # nothing was mentioned about suspended phone--by me or the customer service. Getting ready to unlock the other 2 and will report on how those went.

You will need to have the phone on and on wifi for the unlock to go through.

Well just tried to unlock suspended phone and it failed. Here is the chat
Thank you. I am showing that this line is currently suspended, in order to unlock the device, it would need to be reactivated.

I will try another representative and see what happens. Should I wait for another day or try today?

Suspend as close to the 30 day mark as you can--just in case you have to reactivate it.
I got denied on my unlock of suspended line today.

Appreciate you posting all the info. Did you try to call? They did warn me that when I suspended the line 3 days before the billing cycle was up if I lifted the suspension I would have to pay for the three days. Had generated a transfer pin before the suspension which is good till tomorrow morning. Will try and unlock at midnight on the suspended line and see how it goes and maybe try to port. Will be glad when I am done Smilie

I didn't call just tried once through chat. I will try again--just not sure if I should try today again. I did get 1 line that was suspended unlocked yesterday. If everything else fails--I'll move these 2 phones over to the free line and unlock that way. If anyone else has a suggestion please let me know. I'm trying to do this without paying another $20 a line.

My phone on the suspended line unlocked by chat in a few minutes. Signed in and waited for a person/agent. Started the conversation by saying I wanted to unlock the phone with the phone number and the imei number. Agent said I need to verify you and in about a minute after I gave him my verification code, the phone was was unlocked. Said thank you and ended chat. Will deal with removing the line in the next couple of days. Maybe the night shift is more flexible?
