It's electrolytes and water for $1 a serving. You can get electrolytes for about $.10 a serving, like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CQMS2...in_title_2

Big time. Tap water is roughly the same(7.4 in Philly). They keep it slightly alkaline to help prevent pipe corrosion.

I you really want alkaline water, Walmart's is 9.5 and less than half the price.

Yes. Terrible water source (municipal not natural), pH of 7.5 WITH added electrolytes/ions to achieve this (weird considering they manipulate the pH to achieve near alkaline water), the most insulting part of the amount of electrolytes per 1L. Even the shittiest electrolyte drink contains 5-10x the electrolytes. Finally 12 packs of 1L are always $20 full price, $14-15 on sale - on Amazon and places like Costco. This is 12 pack of TWENTY ounce bottles for $13 on sale LOL. Anything with the words Gatorade/Powerade is utter trash, Body Armor is one step up in terms of clean ingredients and amount of electrolytes. If you dont want flavored electrolyte water then just buy electrolyte drops and use them in quality naturally sourced water. They have been trying to push this water and BodyArmor's alkaline water for over a year and both products are dead in the water. Hell, Essentia which is far superior product despite its municipal source is on sale NOW for $11 for a 12 pack of 1L, $2 cheaper than this deal.

Walmart/Sams/Costco has some of the worst alkaline water - goes acidic minutes after you open the bottle. Outside of naturally alkaline water (vastly superior) such as Icelandic, the only true alkaline municipally sourced water is Essentia. No other brand has been tested with a pH meter to meet 9.5 pH on bottle opening let alone when it sits with the cap on for 15-20 minutes. Essentia/Icelandic keep the alkalinity for at least 1 hour. So if you really want alkaline water buy naturally sourced or Essentia otherwise there's no point. For water, if you havent drank "good" water you wont know what you are drinking is bad. Philly water is WIDELY considered to be some of the nastiest tasting water in the country, making list after list. I would hope you arent foregoing drinking bottled water for the sludge that comes out those pipes, even Kirkland water is better

All this alkaline water noise. I never thought it was real and it turns out as soon as alkaline water hits the hydrochloric acid in your stomach it isn't. it's gone, it doesn't neutralize the hydrochloric acid your body produces. https://www.health.harvard.edu/he...ter-better

As soon as I saw this I thought who's the sucker buying this? They're actually marketing water based on their name. The truth is people drink Gatorade because of the flavors they enjoy and I'm fine with that. Some of them are pretty tasty, but unflavored Gatorade? Pass. It's a little less sugary in it's regular form than soda, but if you are thirsty, drink water.

Now bottled water in general, like it or not, has it's place in modern life. The big brands of bottled water have some sort of shtick about the source, and maybe a fancy bottle design, but it's more about convenience than anything. It is to me anyway. I like Evian 1L bottles. They aren't flimsy, easy to drink from, fit in my car holder, don't tip easily, and convenient to refill. They're bottles you can reuse a lot, but trash once they get gross. Pro tip, don't touch it to your lips and it'll stay clean forever essentially. Once you drink from it directly you either clean it or throw it out at some point.

I really don't think alkaline water does anything. Rarely drink bottled water because it always tastes like plastic to me. Just use a filter to get rid of the chlorine and metallic taste.

Fair everyone has their preferences but scientifically it has been shown to improve the symptoms of acid reflux, chronic ulcers, chronic gastritis. We arent talking about curing illnesses or disease processes but if a person can enjoy a better quality of life esp during meals from just drinking alkaline water, then why not? Alkaline water that does nothing (outside of Essentia) are the non-naturally alkaline waters, that has been tested thats why there is a disclaimer on the bottle (ph 9 at the time of bottling). Glad you are enjoying your filter, there are so many new filtration devices on the market you should check them out. Also in regards to plastic tasting bottles of water it's because all cheap water bottles use cheap plastic. Icelandic (tested 0% microplastics) and Evian are two brands that have zero plastic taste. Acqua Panna, another premium brand, is basically plastic water

I like Fiji personally. Evian must have minerals that rub me the wrong way with a strange texture. It feels like fabric to me. Not sure I ever tried Icelandic.
