About this item:- Universal Compatibility & Important Note: Features a standard 7/16" (11mm) diameter x 7/8" (22mm) long stem, designed to fit most office chairs. For a perfect fit, please measure your old chair casters before purchasing. Please note: These are not compatible with IKEA office chairs.
- Heavy-Duty Construction & High Weight Capacity: Built with a robust, heat-treated steel frame, precision 2-ball bearings, and durable polyurethane (PU) wheels. This heavy-duty design ensures a total weight capacity of up to 700 lbs (140 lbs per caster) for long-lasting performance.
- Smooth & Ultra-Quiet Rolling: The 3-inch elastic PU wheels glide effortlessly. Engineered with precise tolerances and ball bearings, these casters provide a smooth and significantly quieter rolling experience, enhancing your office or home workspace comfort.
- Safe for All Floor Types: The soft, non-marking polyurethane tread will not scratch or leave scuff marks on your floors. An ideal replacement caster wheel for hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, and low-pile carpet flooring, eliminating the need for a chair mat.
- Tool-Free Installation in Seconds: Enjoy a simple, plug-and-play setup. No tools are required.

I returned them and got the double rollerblade type wheels, which im super happy with.
I do not suggest using the single wheel rollerblade wheels on hard surfaces, they can put divots in your floor because all the weight rests on a small area.
I would still use a mat under them, but it's not required like it is with rollerblade wheels.

Many office chairs come with 5 wheels. Does yours not?

Thanks for the heads up about that metal housing. I ended up getting these dual rubber casters instead since they were all time low of $10. Amazon says frequently returned. I assume becuase they didn't fit their chairs because there are no 1 & 2 star reviews for them.

Having two in tandem might actually be worse depending on how they're spaced.
If you don't want to wreck your floors, get a mat.
