No. $400 off the top. S26 Ultra is $899 already (not $1299). Get a cheap prepaid phone (I have a Galaxy A03s), they'll give me $5 + $700 promo credit = $705. My total will end up being $194 + tax. Pay in full. There's no way I would give up my S25 Ultra in this case. It's worth more selling on the private market.
I did this a month ago and got an S26 the same way. I'll do the S26 Ultra tomorrow on the same line.
I do in-store, though. Sales tax is applied differently (since your trade-in is evaluated and applied right away) as opposed to doing it online and waiting for the promo credit to hit.

No. Pay the cost of the phone at checkout, send in your trade-in and you'll get the FULL value applied to your account. You can call/chat and have that credit applied as a refund to your credit card.
If you're paying in full, there is nothing involving "3 years" at all. It's paid.

Yes! And it's MUCH better. At least in TX and many other states, you make out a lot better because you only pay sales tax on the amount AFTER your trade-in is applied.
If you do it online, you pay the FULL sales tax of the device and the credit is applied later, no sales tax refunded.
I will literally save something like $95 doing it in-store rather than online.

If you want to get your phone unlocked, then need to keep it active on the same device for 60 calendar days. Here is official link [spectrum.net]
I'm not concerned about unlocking, so I can cancel the service after this 1st month then? and the promo is satisfied with no issue?

It says "Any", that implies that if you end up with promotional credits, it will be reflected over 36 months. It says nothing about 36 months being mandatory whatsoever, just what will happen if you do end up with promotional credits. Also, if you somehow run into the issue, it can be corrected and paid in full over the phone with customer support. I personally haven't talked to the online chat about it but maybe they can too. People keep freaking out about this line but miss the "Any" and all the fearmongering in this thread and the other thread is crazy. Now, why are Spectrum stores so inconsistent? I think it's just like other brick and mortar phone stores. They have some flexibility to pick and choose some policies to enforce to improve numbers, etc. Kind of like how you shouldn't go into Metro to buy any phones because most will try to add on additional fees but some won't.
The 36 months spread only applies on payment plan; if you choose pay in full option, you should get the entire credit instantly. It's either the rep being a jerk or ignorant. I know because I have been told similar things by some reps and other reps in the same store processed my trades flawlessly getting me all the applicable credits instantly.

As for the mirror test failing on a perfect phone, id blame the rep for being a lazyass, or dumb or whatever. One of my initial mirror test failed as the rep with those 2 inch long fingernails was too lazy to put on gloves, and not even wipe the screen and mirror with smudges, before starting the tests. So ignorant that she tested without asking me to remove case and protector. Waste of an hour. Went back to the same store next day, got another rep, and was out in less than 15 minutes with a new s26+.

There's no mandatory amount of time to keep it on the service unless you haven't fully paid it off or want it to unlock. You could instead of canceling, transfer the number to double dip into another deal like Metro 16e.

Yeah duh, you can do that with every 36-month contract with every carrier. You're not actually locked in for 36 months with any of them. Do you know what the word "contract" means?
Just take the L dude.Ha ha

S26+ is far better than 26 ultra. Almost free. https://www.spectrum.com/mobile/p...Name=Black

So I need some advice I went into the store today with a Moto g 2025 and they only carry the 256 GB s26 ultra. At first they were trying to tell me that you don't get both the $400 and the $700 but then she called her manager and confirmed that you do get both. I said that I wanted the 512 GB but in order to do that they would have to have it shipped to me and then I would have to ship the phone into them. But the weird thing is that they charged me $168 today of which $133 was tax that would mean they charged me tax on the full $1,499 without taking the $400 off. She said and the manager was on speaker phone that once they got my trade-in phone shipped into them everything would be sorted out and that it would be split over 36 months but that after two billing cycles I could just call in and pay it all off. So I guess I'm wondering is it worth the risk of having them ship me the 512 GB and shipping my Moto g 5G 2025 into them and hoping that they sort everything out price wise or is it smarter just to do everything in store and just go with the 256 GB? The other weird thing is that the Moto g 5G 2025 is not on the list for Verizon but if you click other it is on the list but since it's a new phone when they boot it up it says that it's Verizon and she even wanted to check the camera which we couldn't do because I don't have it activated but she was willing to forego that.

I bought an S26 for $199 after trading in an old iPhone last week before the new offers. I went to the store and they said that I can only do a trade-in once per line and S26 to S26+/ S26 Ultra is not possible. I'm slightly disappointed that I could have gotten S26 Ultra if only I waited a week. Any way for me to get a refund or exchange my S26 to an S26+/ S26 Ultra?

Usually for the most part, the stores only carry base models. Everything else is online order.

Yes, you can pay off the phone early, but you lose the promo credits (any unapplied credits from the $700.) That goes for every major carrier I can think of. Most changed their policies in the last couple years. In the case of this offer, you can pay for the device outright and get an immediate $400 discount and $700 promo credit without a finance agreement. That's the difference. Other carrier promos weren't this good and required a finance agreement to get it. So while it's not an iron-clad "contract", it is essentially keeping you with the carrier for 24 or 36 months so they don't claw back the credits.

With regard to your deleted comment, no, this has not been "offered by every carrier." This is by far the best S26 promo yet, as long as you have Spectrum Internet and Mobile. None have gotten anywhere near offering $1100 off the S26 Ultra + trade-in value. If there's been a better one, feel free to link the SD thread.
I don't think you know what the words "contract" or "finance agreement" actually mean.
Verizon's offering a free S26 Ultra right now, spread over 36 months. And if you cancel your plan after a year, you don't pay for the whole phone; you just pay the remaining pro-rated balance. THIS IS VERY COMMON, and it's not a very good deal because it's stupid to get locked in to ANY carrier for 36 months.

For data points:

Went to a spectrum store to do a trade in s26 that I did get from a completely different account that had no esim , after doing all the mirror tests the system wont accept it giving the agent the error that only one upgrade allowed eventhough this phone is from a separate account and first time adding a line . This was to get the ultra26 . So i ended up trading the walmart motorola and paid $200 plus tax for the full amount of the phone.
