What's going on with 4k prices dropping suddenly? Can't imagine a new format is coming any time soon so I guess it's an ominous sign one way or another?

Almost Famous is such a great movie, not sure it really needed the 4k treatment, but I'm not complaining. In for that one for sure.

Great deal for the (good) $7.99 films. Some movies appear twice in the listings, at $7.99 and a more regular price ($20+). For example, $7.99 Almost Famous is sold out, but still available at the higher price. Must be a limited number at promotional price.

Not bad. Buying all three Godfather 4k Blu-ray films comes out to $35.09 after tax for me. The lowest price I saw for the boxset on Amazon ever was $39.99.

I saw Disney cut some of its physical media department. Some rumblings of physical media sales continuing a downward trend and getting phased out.

These are all Paramount distributed films. They had a huge $8.78 clearance sale on movies unlimited earlier that has all the same titles. I assume it has to do with them trying to liquidate merchandise to make some quick money to help pay for the merger with Warner or to pay for the bonuses for the execs jumping ship.

Really hoping physical media lives on for a while. A "digital collection" just doesn't sit well with me.

Definitely some decent movies for $8!
Also the Steelbook collection of Indiana Jones for about $39 after the 15% off for 3+ movies is hard to pass up!

A lot of these are in the 5 for 15 VUDU/Fandango at Home sale. I try to balance physical vs digital, figured others may be happy mixing the two as well.

Thanks, got the best Star Trek movies (6-film set and First Contact) plus The Godfather for $9.3125 per movie, averaged out after taxes. I know they'll never 4K-ify TOS or TNG, but it's cool they did it for the movies.

Not should it. People don't see it that way usually, but we are slowly erasing history. Imagine if someone could just take your classic stingray corvette away from you because you bought it online from some company with ridiculous terms of service. Basically what Tesla is now.
