- Many people harvest the plan by merging it onto an existing TF plan
- Rewards points give you extra data/min/text that you can add on after 2 months
- The number can be transferred to other carriers for port-in deals, ex: get a Galaxy A36 free instead of the TCL phone
- New number gives you new customer promos with various retailers/online services. You can change your Tracfone number 4 times a year. Metro allows 1 free change.
There was a Moto G Power 2024 deal for ~40 each with the 1 year service a few months ago. That phone is also 8GB/128GB with a Dimensity 7020.
enable usb debugging
get scrcpy (screen copy/mirror app) from github, shizuku apk and canta apk from github as well.
adb install shizuku.apk
adb install canta.apk
run scrcpy on your desktop. open shizuku app, select "install with adb command" option. click copy button to copy the command.
on desktop go to your adb command prompt and paste the code with ctrl+v and hit enter. you now activated shizuku. open shizuku and grant canta permission. open canta and find the bloatware apps + the installers responsible for them and remove/uninstall.
safe to delete canta/shizuku app if you want.

Thanks. That's what I remembered from the similar deal for the motorola razr 2024 so that should help out the guy buying it while overseas.
Decent phone, has IP68 water resistance, fingerprint sensor on power button and overall pretty balanced for its MSRP and the screen feature is unique and pretty practical for on the go E-reader replacement or just eye comfort friendly use before bed.
T-Mobile offer combined with Sam's Club/Costco gift card for EIP and waived activation fee makes this worth a try.

Without root you can't ACTUALLY remove bloatware. Shizuku lets you a subset of root's features via wireless adb without an unlocked bootloader so you can run apps like canva, swift backup and many more (I personally use App Manager from f-droid.org which does ALOT more and is open source/free same as canva) which gives you option to freeze or "uninstall" any app including system apps. They are not actually deleted in that if you reset the phone all the apps come back so you don't actually free any space up but can save battery life by removing background tasks these apps use.
For linux there is UAD (universal android debloater) where you plug the phone to the pc and debloat it. https://github.com/0x192/universa...-debloater

Regardless, repped for very good information!
I was just asking that person what they really meant, because the post they replied to did not match with their answer. The original question was about TCL, but that person replied with Tracfone...
