Am I mistaken the cable they mean is that little nub of connector that sticks out? That's hardly a cable.

does not seem like a good way to charge your phone on the go...probably too long to fit into a pocket and there's risk of damage with how it connects to a phone. a cable has flex whereas this thing would probably just break off if you bump it or drop it.

Slickdeals user identifies different use case scenarios exist. Fails to explain one where it might be more convenient like using it at home or anywhere you can set the phone down.

As far as I can tell, these are lightning connectors and you'd have to use the cable for usb-c
