I purchased a Biobidet A8 Serenity also from Costco and had to replace the hinge after 2 years. Design is pretty poor as the hinge is used all the time but is made of brittle plastic. Not sure if this model has a better hinge, but just sharing my 2 cents.
Toto might be a better choice as they have been in this business for a while too.

AVOID THIS MODEL LIKE THE PLAGUE!

The hinge breaks right after the 2 year mark. Bio bidet did not support the product. Blacklisted them for life.

If you want to go for something cheaper but simpler, I suggest LuxeBidet. They are pretty easy to install and go on sale regularly for $45-60$.

While a good deal, yes buying the cheaper ones (non-electronic) are better in the states unless you happen to have a plug behind your toilet seat. Or willing to put in the work to get one there. I've never had an electronic plug behind one so unfortunately, no electronic bidets for me.

Sadly my landlord doesn't allow these (not even if I pay their team to install).

6 years ago, I purchased three BioBidet DLS bidets at the same time. The nozzle stopped extending on one, and the LED nightlight failed on another one. Both were covered under warranty. Other than those two issues, I've had no problems. Customer support is very responsive and they cover shipping. These were my first bidets and I have no experience with other brands, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again. Regardless of brand, once you get a bidet, there is no going back to a regular toilet ☺️

We installed toto Drake 2 with C5 Washlet recently in master bath as part of the remodel. While it works flawlessly, the hump in the back where the unit heats up the water causes an awkward angle and it crimps on seating space and bowl opening. So, a word of caution for those thinking about C5 washlet.
We changed the approach in the other bathroom and chose to pair Drake 2 with Luxe soft close toilet seat and Luxe Neo 320 Plus bidet and hooked up hot water and the cold on provided separate inlets. A solid set up that is manual and does not have any seating and angle compromises that Toto C5 set up has. Of course, you do not have the luxury of powered and feature filled toto bidet.

As a regular bidet user for over a decade, I've learned a few things:
1) Toto is the way to go for quality, but they are a bit more expensive
2) If you aren't sure if this is for you, start with one of the $40 ones on Amazon. They are decent, usually last a couple of years...may not have as many features, but are a good entry point
3) The wireless remote is not useless. I keep mine on my bedside table during the winter and get my seat warmed up before heading into the bathroom...think of it as a remote car starter, but for your butt?
4) BioBidets almost always break two years in, and their customer service isn't super helpful

Does Toto have heated water spray? North east have bitter cold and washing with cold water is brutal.

I bought two other models (both from old costco deals) from Bio Bidet now with broken hinges as well. Also just past the 2 year mark. This company is dead to me.

Idk if people are abusing their bidets or what but my Bio Bidet from Costco COVID times is still going strong. I WFH, so it gets a shit ton of use. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

I bought the Bio Bidet 6800U in 2019. The seat hinge broke after about 2 and half years. The prorated warranty meant I had to pay about $45 for a replacement seat which I installed myself. That one lasted another 3 years.

Last year, I bought a Bio Bidet Horizon which supposedly has a 5 year full warranty. My first warranty experience was decent enough for me trust them again.
If you're DIY enough to handle it yourself, I'd recommend. But if you had to pay for a plumber or handyman to do it, then yeah I'd probably see if Toto was built tougher.
