Text looks just fine on mine. Just as crisp and easy to read as on my 1080p Dell laptop screen.

I got the same one on eBay in January. Used it twice to play Nintendo switch with my son and now it stopped working, screen has vertical and horizontal lines all around the screen. No dropping before and I bought a nice case to protect it. Just filed a claim via Allstate that comes with this purchase. Claim approved instantly and will refund me about 85% of the cost. I bought it from eBay like $34 including tax, Allstate gave me back $28.
