as a deckhand on a sportfishing boat I wore these daily on multi day trips. Fold over the top a couple of inches for no chafing on the back of your leg. Great price on these...

You're wearing these to keep dry and because they're slip resistant, not to win a fashion show.
That said - as mentioned above, these suckers are really tight for anyone with even medium sized calves. If you're not folding over the top few inches they're going to be a real pain in the ass.
