This is not a torque wrench. You obviously don't work on cars

Not sure what slick deals bot-detection protocols are, but this seems like one. It probably made the torque wrench assumption based on the words 5 degree and ratching. Be aware people.

typically a 1/4" does about 30-40 NM (about 26 ft/lb). Why do I need such an length? for a small hard to reach screw?

Yeah, it's for access not torque.

It does appear to be fairly proprietary, but at least replacements are available, e.g.:
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=gearwr...ng+adapter

It looks like they're available from multiple retailers apart from amzn, but I suspect it would be tough to find one locally in a real pinch. Since these kinds of parts will eventually succumb to metal fatigue with heavier use, it might be a good move to just pick up a spare or two anyway.

The pin for the flex sheered the first time I used it on a m6 bolt. Easy to get a replacement from gearwrench. Have used the new one multiple times with no problems, but definitely for low torque situations.

Good deal, but don't see a real need for 1/4" drive
