If you're ok with using a 20 lb tank, then do that. This deal is for people that don't always need 20 lbs of propane and would rather carry a 5 lb tank weighing 15 lbs vs 39 lbs for a full 20 lb tank.

These are great for hike in camping and also for propane torch (for those that do weed/grass/field burns)

This is only a 5lb tank, that's tiny. Normally you can go to Walmart and get a full 20lb tank for $49. Why would you buy this?

5 lbs is a good amount for fishing, camping, or overlanding for any weekend activity.

Refills are much more convenient and economical than 1-lb canisters. Plus, you can always find refill locations when traveling, unlike the 1-lb canisters, which can be more difficult to find.

This has nothing to do with owning the tank. If you buy a brand new tank and keep it until the certificate is expired then you get the same result!

My closest tractor supply is 30 minutes away and the propane guy isn't there half the time. I switched to the small refillable canisters, more convenient anyways.
