This isn't really an amazing deal but it's one of the most famous deals from chain restaurants so I had to post when I saw it. The Red Lobster endless shrimp deal is back. There's no word if 4/20 celebrations by the CEO had anything to do with this decision.

---------------------------
Red Lobster is bringing back its famous "Endless Shrimp" promotion starting Monday, marking a surprising revival of one of its most recognizable all-you-can-eat offerings.

The deal will return for a limited time at select locations, the company said. One Red Lobster location told FOX Business that the new offering will be priced at $24.99 per person, up from $20 in 2024, when it most recently appeared on menus. Other locations have reportedly priced the promotion at $29.99

Duuuude I've got a great idea. People are always like hungry and want to eat lots of food. So we'll give them a deal for all the shrimp they want. There's no way this can fail. We'll be rolling in dough. Heeeyy man stop bogarting the Funyuns and pass them over.

I called 2 locations in AZ - the price is $30 here. I guess it varies based on the market/region

Common misconception. The reason Red Lobster went through financial issues and bankruptcy was not because of the endless shrimp but because the new holding firm that bought them out sold all of their land that the restaurants were in and then each restaurant had to account for rent for the first time. The holding firm then sold Red Lobster to the next schmuck and made out like bandits with the profit from the land sale.

Yep! Folks don't realize that these business pay a shit load in rent each month! A past company I worked for paid 20k in rent each month. Then the landlords asked for 40k.. the company told them nope and just shut down. So when people wonder why malls are empty and why businesses are closing it's usually due to rent or other stupid financial reasons behind the scene!

Not a deal with tipping. Just another tax on stupid.
So.... Don't tip. It's not a requirement. You can eat as many baby shrimp as you want without tipping.

They did the same scam here with a 70 year old local chain of restaurants. They then went bankrupt because they couldn't afford the rent, and now all that land with buildings throughout the area have been sitting empty for 3 years. The holding company did well selling the real estate, while a long established restaurant gets forced out of business.
