I've had my set for almost two years now and have not had it drop a single time! I'm not saying that it can't. However, I feel comfortable enough using it every day for all of the meals that I cook, and the thought of dropping hardly ever crosses my mind. Of course, you could always double up with the handles if the contents feel too heavy.
