4 and 6 amp are the sweet spot. Especially 6 which is not too heavy but lasts forever.

I have tried a number of adapters for different platforms over time and I find them to be getting better. Here's one from Amazon for $21. https://www.amazon.com/NovaQuanti...188&sr=8-5
Check eBay and they usually are cheaper there.
