There was a Costco deal for $80 last June, which made these an even better value. These are my go-to hiking shoes. I log over 900 miles a year on rugged terrain, including rocky trails, mud, slippery surfaces, river crossings, and boulder scrambling, and a pair typically lasts me about six months.

I need footwear I can rely on in those conditions, and these are the only ones I fully trust. Picked up two pairs this time, which should hold me over until the next Costco deal hopefully rolls around again next year. I just wish they offered more color options.

These sell out quickly. When I bought them yesterday, every size was still available. Last year, I waited a couple of days after seeing the sale on SD, and by then, almost everything was sold out.

These are great runners for technical terrain. A 10mm drop and aggressive grip can make it feel like running in high heels with spikes. They are somewhat narrow, but I don't have to use heel-lock lacing as I do in my Merrels. They are the fastest runners in my daily trail running rotation.

I really like these. I bought them last year with the deal and used them for hiking in Glacier and then later for a 14'er in Colorado. Way more comfortable than my heavier hikers and my feet felt much better at the end of the day. Highly recommend.

Why are these called "mens" when only children's sizes are available? I wear a 14 and am only 6' tall.
