1. It does not stick to the ledge of your sink. If you can get the sink edge and the squegee bone dry, it will sometimes stay put for awhile.. but eventually gravity wins and you find it in the sink. If there is a tiny trace of moisture forget about it, the thing slides off the edge of the sink within seconds. I have a straight edge marble sink so its not like its an issue with my sink specifically. Even though it has good reviews, many people complain about this factor. Search the reviews for the word "falls" and you will see an endless list of complaints. This alone was a deal breaker for me, the convivence of having it right there and out of the way was the allure.
2. The bristles don't work if they get wet. You cant really sweep up crumbs once the bristles are wet, everything just sticks to the bristles and spreads around. The bristles are hard to dry out, even when leaving overnight they might be wet the next day somehow.
Overall, this was a great idea for a product, it just missed on the execution.
PS - I will say the construction feels of quality. It has nice materials and good weight - it doesnt feel "cheap".

For large flat surfaces, I use squeegee from Dollar Tree. https://www.dollartree.
