If you are having connectivity issues because you don't have enough coverage, yes. If not, no reason to add extra interferance into your ecosystem. I actually went from a 3 mesh system down to a single non-mesh router in the center of my house all my connections improved dramatically...

I think when I looked up if you control transmission power it said no, so can't get it. Most routers will hurt my head if I don't turn down tx power.

Interesting. I don't think I have connectivity issues. So I guess I leave it alone.

After owning an Eero (it came with the house) I've got to say I'm not a big fan. Fine for a basic user that wants plug and play but a computer/networking person may be disappointed. I wasn't able to adjust MTU settings and if you want to block sites, you'll be paying a subscription fee for parental controls.

This is really a question from the "peanut gallery". I'm sure these work well and act as great mesh routers. I received 3 of these when I closed on my home and got rid of them. My concern is with idea that these are Amazon-brand routers. I'm growing increasingly concerned with data privacy and have minimized my Google exposure as much as possible (e.g. GrapheneOS, no gmail/drive, NextDNS to block tracking, NordVPN, etc.) Has there been any legit concern with a router ran by Amazon? I can imagine that AmazonAWS would want to hoover up and analytics about home internet usage it can.

See my prior comment, related. You helped me realize Amazon's incentive for making routers is creating a new revenue-generating channel: locking down router features that require a subscription.
