I get $158.93, still a good deal, I got mine during the last sale for $149. Amazing machine, addictive to its core. I have been printing like crazy, got myself a set of PLA and PETG filaments. Works out of the box. Got it pretty quick (shipped within the US). Connected to WIFI and using Orca Slicer (GitHub version). It is a one color machine, but I have learned how to print two colors so far. Looking now at the Creator 5 Pro model!! LoL.

If you're at all interested in 3d printing I would jump on this deal. I also picked one up during the last sale for $150 and have been blown away by how easy it is to use and upgrade. I've already added a camera, led lights, and a full enclosure (Flashforge sells a kit) all for ~&60. I've only printed in PLA and PETG so far, but haven't had any issues. It also seems to be a pretty common machine, with lots of community support online if something does go wrong.

Thanks for this - I was leaning towards the 5m pro but with this on sale and being almost upgradeable to pro spec it seems like a good starter machine. I'll probably use mostly PETG and some ABS or ASA down the line once I get the enclosure kit. Won't be printing enough to need the filters etc of the pro.

Are you actually mad that they just shared a bit of extra info that is relevant to this deal?

New to the 3d printing game. What else do I need to get started with this?
This comes with everything and a small amount of filament, enough to do test prints. You'd just need to get a spool of whatever color you want to start with. PLA is best for starting out. 1kg spools at 10 dollars each is fair price right now.

This is a great entry level printer because it's easy to use and works well. It's also great because, depending on your needs, there may never be a need to upgrade. It's one of the fastest consumer printers on the market. It's got network capability out of the box and you can add a camera for cheap if you want better remote monitoring. If you are interested in working with more demanding materials the enclosure is a cheap upgrade. It's good enough that many people will simply never need to upgrade.

This is an amazing entry level machine. I have been using it for the last two weeks. Already got like 20 spools of filaments, between PLA and PETG. I'm using a regular vacuum sealed bag that you may use for cloth, but instead I got a 15x23in bags from AliExpress and put 3 rolls per bag each with their silicone bag. For software I'm using orca slicer (GitHub version) no the one from flashforge. Connected to WiFi (I haven't done any firmware updates - work fine as is). The orca slicer connects to the printer via IP. There are some videos on YouTube the explain how to set it up. It is pretty easy. I have been able to print two colors by applying a pause during the process. I was printing something out the other day and the power when off for a few seconds. The machine came back on and asked to continue printing, I clicked "ok" and it kept going. Pretty neat.

Not a slickdeal. Was $141 recently.
Even when this is just $171 it's a great deal given the current every day price is about $220.

Only because the highly political NY AG sent them a threatening letter. They later made it clear they don't spy on your print jobs. So if you were planning on putting your Glock files on FF's web site, yeah don't. If you think they are routing all your print activities through their server as Bambu was accused of, they don't.

Grabbed it two weeks ago on its last deal. I am absolutely loving it. Ordered 20+ spools of filament, have storage systems in place, went on AliExpress and ordered m3 sets, bearings, and various other cheap things to go with some projects I am working on.

Absolute no brainer at this price. Watched so many YouTube videos and this things a beast at this price!

Is this better than the Creality K1C? Got that printer in December, and have had so so many issues with it that it's not even worth printing with anymore.

How reliable is this printer?
does it work out of the box or do you have to tinker with it?
Is there good vendor or community support?
Sorry for the noob questions new to 3D printing and this looks like a great opportunity to enter into the hobby.

Best entry level printer. Stepping down from here is the ender 3v3se for around $80, but that can be quite frustrating (no network, sd only, slower, subpar leveling, constant need for tweaking advanced settings to get reliable printing). I would not recommend for beginners.

Flashforge did an excellent job stripping down to the most basic features of modern printers to hit this price point. Core XY printer, network support, reliable printing at modern printer speeds and quality. No need for excessive tweaking which is frustrating and has a much higher learning curve.

AD5M drawbacks vs other higher end single color printers. Bed size (220cm instead of 250cm), no camera for remote monitoring, not enclosed (not ideal for ABS), decent software but not as accessible as Bambu Labs, no auto nozzle wiping/poop chute.

Still, these seem like the perfect compromises, since PLA and PETG is the vast majority of prints and the reliability and quality of this printer is arguably better than printers several times its cost from brands like Creality, Anycubic, and Elegoo. Honestly, I'd be hard pressed to decide between this and the standard Bambu Labs A1 which is about twice the cost, but a bed slinger, larger bed, slower print, easier software, equally reliable.

Easy Upgrade paths: $30-$50 enclosure kit for ABS, Any web cam for camera support.

Love that the upgrade path for ABS printing is so reasonable and easy, since you can start printing at a lower price point to see if you plan to continue printing, then decide later if you need an enclosed printer without feeling you have to pay a premium for the feature. ABS is marginally more expensive than PETG/PLA, but it comes in useful if printing functional pieces like coat racks or replacement fixtures.

Set my nephew up with an AD5M to replace his Ender 3v3se. I have a P2S combo, but I liked it so much I would buy another AD5M if I could get it at this price where I am as a second printer. In fact, I may have gotten a couple of these at half the cost of my P2S, then waited for tool changers to drop in price, if I knew what I knew now. 95% of what I printed I could have done with this printer.
