I don't understand why dog owners pay over $6 a pound for dog food, when you could buy pork chops for $1.99 a pound and fry one up in 2 minutes for the dog? When my sister would leave her dog with me for a week I'd make her scrambled eggs for breakfast and fresh cooked meat for dinner, she wouldn't bother with the bagged food I left out. Fresh cooked food with one ingredient - meat - has to be healthier for the dog, no? Would dogs in the wild eat noodles and sweet potatoes? Also, everything I'd need for my cat is 40% more expensive than having it delivered 2 day prime from amazon, so maybe this deal is good for others but it doesn't work for me. There is a lot of stuff included, so idk.

Ok. I used to trap raccoons when I lived next to a salt marsh, I'd give them oreos and no kidding, they'd twist them open and eat the middles. I also gave them freezy pops and they'd figure out to squeeze them from the bottom to eat them. One year after Easter I got a bunch of plastic easter eggs and put candy in them, 3 big raccoons came through the hole in the fence at the same time and immediately figured out how to pop the plastic eggs open to get at the candy. Funniest thing was when I put a giant box of assorted russel stover candy out and the first raccoon that came into the yard looked at it, looked around a bit like it suspected it was a trap, then perused the selections until it decided which to eat first. You should get a trail cam - if you get animals in your yard at night, it makes for some entertaining videos seeing what shows up and what they do at night.

Enjoyed that post, yes Raccoons are very resourceful critters. We got possum, skunks, deer and an occasional fox around here. Possum once came into our open garage and was eating dry cat food we left out for our cat.

My experience trapping raccoons was I'd get a raccoon every night for a couple of days and then I'd get a possum. The possums come out closer to dawn, the raccoons would come around right after dark, so if I got a possum I'd know I'd cleared out all the raccoons in my area. I'd just let the possums go in the morning, since they can't get up into the trash cans so there was no reason to relocate them. I opened the trap to let the possum out, and he played dead, I swear I could see him peeking out one eye. I had to shake him out of the trap before he fell out, then he laid there for a bit before he figured out he was free to go. I had glue traps for mice in the garage and one day my kids were going to school and called me outside because a chipmunk had gotten his rear end stuck to the glue trap and was frantically scurrying around in a circle trying to get away, I sprayed his backend with cooking oil spray until he got loose and ran off. That was pretty funny.
