The processor in the fold is way more than adequate, unless you're playing games. I used one of these for six months but went back to my Pixel 9 Pro because I seldom opened up the large display. I figured it wasn't worth carrying around the extra weight if I wasn't taking advantage of the inner display.

There are a lot of stupid hot takes in this thread. Pixel Fold is more than adequate for everything you need in your daily. I have one, plays all the Hoyoverse games without a single problem. Any other game either has a cloud version that's literally just streaming, or it's a game I play on PC/Steam Deck. I don't know how Fortnite or Roblox run because I'm a weeb not a tween. Tensor haters likely use more AI than I do. Just get Apple's newest $2000 brick if you're so concerned with performance.

Re: losing "support" from Google in 2 years -- install GrapheneOS. Couldn't be any simpler to protect your privacy. Imagine getting a Google phone NOT to install Graphene on it.

It's not a bad phone, it's just not a good price. You can buy recertified Folds on eBay for $100 less, and there are often zero issues. But "muh battery life" means nothing. My Fold battery lasts for 3 days, much longer than my Samsung Flip 6 with Snapdragon did after OneUI became overcrowded with AI spyware. You don't need new when all the replacement parts came from the same manufacturer. Likely the same part of China as all the iPhone components you're shelling out 5x the price for did.
