Got a dual hose midea (which will be on sale at Costco soon) and the electricity hit isn't as bad as expected. Compared to a single hose unit it costs more but uses less electricity. The unit will probably pay for the difference in electricity savings on its second year

Do any of you used portable A/C with a sliding door? Our living room has only a bay window and a sliding door. I see there is some conversion to use with sliding doors on Amazon. Wondering if anyone has any experience with it?

You could make a piece of wood the same size as the window kit and extend the window kit. Kind of mickey mouse, but a handy person could easily do it. Might even be able to use cardboard.
