Can you return the batteries and keep the trimmer? Whats the net cost of the trimmer with this strategy?
Is that even allowed or is it considered return fraud/abuse?

Not hackable. Batteries are valued at $10/Ah to be "slick." The hedge trimmer is $80 "tool only" when not on sale. This seems pretty solid.

Does anyone know if this will work well for Rose Bushes? I tried the smaller Milwaukee Version and that didn't work at all. Thanks!

Does the shearing mechanism look the same between the two?

That's the one that I have and worth waiting for.

How's the 18V compare to the 40V? All my other Ryobi lawn stuff is 40V, but this is quite a bit cheaper.

This is also a good alternative https://www.lowes.com/pd/WORX-POW...5000252085
edit: it was $40 at the time, now back to full price

So perhaps returning the trimmer and keeping the batteries is the way to go 🥸

I dont' have a whole lot to do - but the "sweep" feels like it makes things go a lot better, especially if you aren't good at doing this type of stuff.
