If you need the battery and charger (or just another 40V to expand your collection) DTO has ry40hg01k as Factory Blemished for $96.

I have an 18V Ryobi hedge trimmer and find it to be heavy enough to be awkward and inconvenient. And I've been replacing outdoor stuff with 40V tools, so this looks good. But will this thing seem like such a beast that I'll hate it, or is it about the same weight as an 18V model, aside from the battery? If you have experience with both, please share your opinion, thanks.

Got it last year. Very happy, lots of power. While it is on a heavier side , weight is not an issue.

Note in "hedge trimmer": this is not a personal hair trimmer.

Need a rotating handle version. Had a previous model that broke after many years. Any deal for that one?

Have the 18 V version, and i'm sure this is quite the beast and more powerful. My only complaint with the 18 V is that the plastic leaf guard starts to loosen and slide up the blade. Used my heat gun to squeeze and tighten it, and it's much better now.
Otherwise, cord free is the way to go. I've cut so many cords with hedge trimmer tools, lol.

If you already have the 18V, I would wait for the 40V with the rotatable handle, you'll really miss that feature.

Does anybody know what's the difference between the 40 volt battery and the 40 volt HP ??! Do they use the same charger? Do they fit the same equipment? Just want to be totally sure. Thank you for any help
