Great phone service just know if you have issues they only have chat support. No way to call and talk to a person.

Care to share this super-secret phone number, where you found it, and who you actually talked to? Because according to Visible's website, app, social media, and customer service reps, no such phone number exists.

Per https://www.visible.com/help/contact-us :
"Visible does not offer phone-based support."
I've not spoken to support in many months. I chatted about port-in of phone number during last years pro deal. I was already visible user for a year but they allowed it to apply to existing.

They were very nice about calling me, yes they were very limited by Verizon/visible systems so 20 min later said waiting until after billing cycle might be safer to not mess things up.

Week later I chatted, they called me after 10-15 min they connected in experienced dude that clearly knew what to do and did port to change my existing visible # without losing plan discount.

Did the same to get my pixel watch on the pro plan when it just would not auto activate. (This watch includes T-Mobile free but I wanted to use visible since included on the pro plan)

I've never needed to chat or talk to humans again

Visible calls you, you don't call Visible.I had a network issue with them years ago, after escalating through chat they eventually called me a day later after the first fix did not work and I told them so. The issue was resolved and that's the only time I spoke to them on the phone

That outsourced, web chat-only support can be a MAJOR issue in some cases. Their agents are located in the Philippines (according to one of those agents), their internal network goes down semi-regularly (meaning you'll be randomly disconnected or they will put you on hold indefinitely until it's fixed), their English proficiency is often limited, and their knowledge/training leaves a LOT to be desired. For instance, one agent insisted that a Samsung Galaxy S25 doesn't support eSIM while another insisted that Visible is not related to Verizon in any way nor does it use Verizon's towers/service -- all of which every employee should know is obscenely false.

When things go right, they're great since it's all using Verizon's service. But it can quickly turn into a nightmare if you actually need customer service for something beyond the basics. Of course, that's how Verizon offers plans this cheap via this sub-brand.
MOST of Verizon Wireless's (aka Cellco Partnership, Inc.) own and Visible's (aka Verizon Value, Inc.) customer service is now outsourced. I worked for them for 17 years and got through two rounds of layoffs prior to me in 2023 and then they did another round in 2025 and most of the last onshore reps got the boot. They have vendor reps in the Philippines, India, Egypt, Mexico and Romania. The only non-outsourced customer service is Verizon Communications, Inc. (aka landline, TV and FiOS) and that's only because they are the Union side on the company. So now Verizon's phone support is now just as bad as chat AND to make matters EVEN worse Verizon intends to convert the vast majority of their corporate retail stores into independent retailers. The wireless CEO that took over in early 2023 is ALL about cost cutting. My point is Visible gives you basically the same level of terrible support as Verizon, so just take the Visible savings while keeping the network and just hope you don't need support.

2+ years of Visible. No issues whatsoever. In December they offered $225 for a full year of highest package option. How could anyone turn that down? I know I didn't.
That was a great deal I got on it, with cashback from certain website, Amex CBand referral bonus, final cost was $125

I switched one line without a hiccups. Second line was stuck and I could not complete the order.
Help was useless, their system is broken.

And their chat support is absolutely horrendous from my experience. They kept screwing me around for a week transferring over from Tmobile, cost me around $100 because it bled into another billing cycle there, and eventually refused to finish the port. Moved all our lines over to US Mobile and was shocked at how efficient, friendly and competent US Mobile was and has been. They have phone support, and they've always picked up within under 5 minutes. Only downside is a little pricier than Visible and watch service costs extra, but on the plus you have choice of all 3 major carriers. In my dealings with both Visible and Verizon they have both proven themselves repeatedly to not be interested in new business, so I do my best to make sure I and any friends avoid them like the plague. (I actually use Verizon for service via US Mobile, but don't have to deal with Verizon the company which suits me fine).
I bought a phone from visible last year and spent an insane amount of time trying to get it unlocked per their legal obligation. No success. Had to get hold of one of their executives to have it done finally. What is more frustrating is that it was locked again, which I just found out. Absolutely the worst mobile company when it comes to customer service.

This is basically the best. I switched to the top plan after a decade on T-Mobile. Zero nonsense. Free cellular apple watch. Canada / Mexico international roaming is legit. Global pass is a great way to do international.

Only two downsides (for me)...
  • Hotspot capped at 15mbps. Now on the other hand, at least it's unlimited. I actually prefer this to my old t-mobile plan, which was blazing fast but capped at 7GB / month. But just know it's real.
  • 5G Standalone not yet enabled. For me, this means switching between LTE / 5G more than I did on T-Mobile, and I actually believe it's caused a slight reduction in battery life and lower cellular performance.
So for my two bullet points above, the bottom one will eventually be solved. Visible will roll it out. Just not sure when. The hotspot cap has been more of a pro than con for me, since it's unlimited, but the cap is worth noting.

I just switched out of Sprint/Tmobile after being with these rip off mobile companies for decades. You can imagine how much I've overpaid for not switching over. I remember virgin offered a hell of a deal but the service was absolutely useless in So Cal. Now with Visible wireless. I've got no issues. Knowing it's verizon as the backbone I'm not worried, but yes customer service is absolutely horrendeous since as long as I can remember cell phones were available and it just keeps getting worse by the year. I hope this whole AI chatbot fixes most of that, at least you can understand the rep.

is there a real need to talk to someone in person or on the phone for support nowadays? I currently have verizon and haven't had the need to do that in the last 15 years lol
That's just it... when you need it and you almost never need it.

While on Tmobile, I once had a SIM card that did not use any partnership towers. Both me and my wife have the same plan, same phone and she had all the bars, the tower was actually in sight (camping) and I had no signal at all. I am hoping Esims have eliminated any SIM errors.

When I switched to Visible, for what ever reason, my phone did not hook up to 5G. Customer service... NO HOPE. But Gemini or Chatgpt saved me. It seems carrier's can actually eliminate setting menu from my phone... so the option to make sure 5G was choosen with Visiable and the Pixel 8 Pro.. that option was eliminated from the setting menu. Gemini told me about the phone number that goes directly to that setting menu and only then I was able to get tot that setting menu and chose 5G (was not chosen before). And then 5G worked.

So Gemini or ChatGPT... that is the true customer service.

Also, with prepaids, you eliminate incorrect monthly billings which I had to fight like crazy with Tmobile and I also had to fight like crazy with Verizon years back. This type of shit should be eliminated with pre paids.

I personally switch to Mint and then Visible and back to Mint and then back to .....

But, for Visible all you need to do is switch to anyone and switch right back. I think I have heard of people who when to tello for $6.00 for like 8 hours before they were able to switch back to Visible.

BUT I would only do Half Price Yearly Sales to save the most amount of money. When I am with Visible I pay $225 per year, when I am with Mint I pay $180 per year and USMobile is either $199 or $299 for their highest teir. I like USMobile's 199 plan... it give you 35GB of monthly data and that works for me.

So... I pay either 180 or 199 or 225 per year. Depending on who I am with. And my preferred network is Tmobile by far but I can live with Verizon's as well. Just where i live, I get 35-40MB/s with Visible and I get 350-400MB/s with Tmobile.

So I am pretty sure you may be able to switch between cell tower tech such as 4G or 5G, etc... but Visible has eliminated that setting menu so you need to phone it in... I did not verify if this is correct but I think the code is... *#*#4636#*#* BUT I did not verify.

Next, I have a small issue with comparing Visible to Tmobile, especially when Tmobile has created Mint Mobile and for Verizon to compete with Mint Mobile, Verizon created Visible. I don't know how long you have been locked into your plan at Tmobile... But Mint Mobile offers 20GB of blazing fast hotspot and it comes out of your 50GB monthly allowance.

Right now it comes down to cost... service and benefits. And I will only talk about the cheapest yearly promotions 180 vs 225.

Mint Mobile (180 plus taxes) is cheaper by about $25 vs Visible $225 when on sale.
Mint or Tmobile is the faster network in most places but you should know which service is better due to where you live. Visible is very stong on travel, you get 24 days but Mint Mobile addons are very cheap. Minternational Pass ($20) covers 10-Day Pass ($20): Includes 10GB of data, 500 talk minutes, and 500 texts. I think if you travel less then 24 days international (not including Canada and Mexico) then Visible is better but if you are out of the country for like 3 months... and you want full serive, then the 10 day pass for 20 dollars is much cheaper. Lastly, Mint limits you to 50GB of data at high speed, Visible has no true cap... I personally never hit more than 35GB a month in my life but i have high speed internet at home but if you need more then 50GB of data a month then Mint is not an option for you.

I will add that there are prepaid carriers that offer Amazon deal... not just the big two. I also like US mobile and if I also think it may be the best for international travel at $299 per year.
