Tires (as well as motor oil and brake pads) are made to a certain standard in order to be sold in the US, and possibly anywhere. Even the cheapest tire is still a tire and will work to a certain, certified degree. Will they last as long as another tire ? Probably not. But if you need tires, these are great and will work as any tire should. All the other stuff in the more expensive tires are things that they are not required to sell (better braking distance maybe, better wet handling maybe, etc). $40 a tire is an amazing price !

Turkey exports 20 million tires a year. 1/2 of them are OEM on new European cars.

Turkey's #2 export is automobile. You know, those vroom vroom that sits on not Chinese tires. 80% of those more than a million vroom vroom are exported to Europe each year.

I think they know a thing or 2 about making them.

its interesting how many are jumping on cheap dangerous CHINA tires and at the same time Voting against BYD and other EVs ( which are not using these cheap made tires at all ) to protect Gaz Guzzling American made Cars and keep buying china made MAGA merch

It's not a world of literally the cheapest tire listed vs the most expensive brands. There's an entire spectrum of mid-tier brands and product lines; those are the most value for your money. Just to compare:
The waterfall tire that fits my car is $58 + Installation $18 + Tire disposal $1.5 = $77.50/wheel

Falken tire $65 + Installation $18 + Disposal $1.5 = $84.5/wheel
The Waterfall is rated for 45k miles while the Falken is rated for 75k miles; actual mileage will scale based on how you drive but it's likely that the Falken will last 75k/45k = 1.66 times longer than the Waterfall at just $84.5/$77.5 = 1.09 times the price. In the long run, you will pay less and visit the tire shop less often by choosing the mid-tier tire. Falken is also brand that comes as original equipment on many vehicles, not so with Waterfall. Falken, along with Dunlop is a brand of Sumitomo, the 6th largest tire manufacturer in the world and 2nd largest in Japan.

Would I ever buy this tire for my car... no. Only because I feel I am a tire enthusiast. But looking at the treads I would have to say these tire are quiet and good on gas compared to most other 4 seasons. I would not buy this tire for the north where there is snow.

The tire I buy for my small SUV are Toyo Celcuis II because I live in the North but I bet these tire get about 10% better gas millage but to me that 10% additional cost is worth the 15 days I do drive in bad snowy weather. Also my Celcuis seem to last me very close to 50K miles per set and I am my second set with a little over 35K miles and I think I may have one more winter of driving... so hopefully I will get my third set at the fall of 2027.

I have the 19 inch version of these tires on my car. And they are fine. As others have mentioned, are they going to last as long as other brands? Probably not. But I do a lot of driving and have no complaints. I would not hesitate to buy again, especially at this price.
