Edit: Looking closer at the comment, the poster on here stated precooked meaning the patty is standardized and formed at a weight of 4 oz. Any heating would actually shrink the patty. Unless what you are stating is that the patties are formed and grilled on site. Then again, there would have to be uniformity or else Shake Shack is losing money for even a 0.1 oz difference for every patty formed (there is a reason why all fast food places have to make sure they are not giving more product than they should). The other issue is is you are the only individual we can believe, who states, they work there. Anyone can state they work there.
If I stated I worked there, would it stop corporate from shrinking patties while they are being formed into burger patties? No. Many factors to consider.
