These work well but you need to take them inside during late fall/winter or they won't last.

I have used similar items in the past - but always with a 'water hammer' arrestor like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004P5D...in_title_2

If you aren't aware, flowing water has a lot of pressure behind it. Having a device that will immediately shut off the water flow (as this would) can sometimes build up a case where the water needs relief somewhere. When you manually turn off the spigot, it gradually reduces the flow, and hence the pressure reduces somewhat gradually.
