I may buy this- seems like a decent deal and I like having the batteries of different sizes for different tools.

The rule of thumb for a good deal on power tool batteries is $10 per Ah. Here you're getting 12 Ah for $100.00 at $8.33 per Ah. This is a solid deal.

Yeah i agree with that statement, but I never buy batteries without a charger because of no lifetime service agreement.
Edit: These new Max Output batteries do come with lifetime service agreement when purchased separately. Once they killed the Octane line(about 4 years ago) and introduced these Max output line they included stand alone batteries to Lifetime Service Agreement.

As long as I've owned ridgid tools (15 years) stand alone batteries haven't. They needed to be a part of a starter kit(batteries and charger) or come with a tool (which includes a charger). Unless something has changed in the last 3 years or so since I've last researched the topic.
Edit: Max Output line of batteries apparently do carry stand alone Lifetime Service Agreement.

I just checked the Warranty and it says batteries need to be a part of a qualifying handheld or stationary tool.
I believe these batteries do include lifetime service agreement. In item full description, About This Product section:
"Best of all, these batteries are eligible for the Industry's Only Lifetime Service Agreement, simply register within 90 days of purchase for FREE Parts, FREE Service, For LIFE."

Yeah I read that too. Apparently after reading through forums, after the octane line was discontinued and the Max output line was introduced they changed to LSA for batteries.

I don't know prices for these things, but I do love our Rigid batteries -- we've used an adapter to attach them to yard tools for a power boost and longer run time.

I bought into this ecosystem because of the warranty. The tools are not as good as others, but for a general DIY'er, they are great.

You are 100% incorrect. Standalone batteries do come with a lifetime service agreement. I have purchased at least six standalone batteries and have been able to register every single one.

On a side note, the only batteries that I would buy from ridgid nowadays are the max output batteries. There is a noticeable increase in both power output and run time. This is actually a killer deal, however I already have close to 12 batteries and I definitely don't need more. I have been in this ecosystem for close to 20 years now and the batteries that I received 20 years ago are still holding strong.

Yes I edited my comment as you can see there at the bottom. That has been the case since about 2022. Prior to the Max Output batteries though it was not the case.

The "warranty" is limited, and only for a year.

What you're thinking about is probably the "Lifetime Service Agreement", which is absolutely NOT a warranty -- in legality or practice. Read up on it.

This is an incredibly good deal for Ridgid batteries.

These are part of their performance lineup, previously called "OCTANE". And normal good sales have general batteries at $10/ah. You're getting three premium batteries at $8.33/ah, and one of them is a higher capacity unit (with one mid-capacity and one small-capacity).

And they are eligible for the Lifetime Service Agreement -- though that can be hit or miss if you need to actually use it.

Excellent deal if you're invested in the Ridgid system.
