I think the extra $13 is worth it. the combination of a higher weight limit, a larger bench size, and being fully collapsible seems worth the extra cost.

I could MAYBE see someone using a bench to do step ups with a bar but squating on the bench seems unneccessary and dangerous.

got mine in yesterday and I am actually really impressed. it really is like 95% prebuilt. you have to put on two foam pieces on the leg curl attachement, attached it where you want it, and put two pegs in. one to prevent it from folding and the other sets the angle of the seat. took me less than 5 minutes and I didn't even bother opening the instructions. It is also very light I could easily pick it up and carry it one handed no problem even when not folded. only real negative I have is there is no way to adjust the angle of the back legs so if you want to use it in a cage some seating angles will not work. otherwise really happy with it.
