I gave this seller a shot on the last xbox controller deal. Got two controllers that were actually good condition inside the torn up box. Unfortunately one of them was defective and they wont process my return.

Just open a case through ebay and say defective and you will get your money back as long as your within the time frame allowed.

Ordered chainsaw, got a vacuum. Out money for the return. Seller doesn't care, eBay doesn't care.

Based on feedback, you're right at 5% chance of a botched sale... If you roll a 1 on that d20, you're going to be dragging that TV box (or whatever they send you) to your nearest FedEx.

To those who ordered, may the odds be forever in your favor. To those who have not yet ordered- don't.

For those complaining about returns as seller on eBay for over 15 years I have no idea how that's possible. eBay has long had a return process that is almost automatic with little input required to compete with Amazon. I've had people return different items or destroyed items and my only option is to authorize the return then open a case. Extremely frustrating process as a seller but point being how is it possible as a buyer you can't get a return processed?

The complaints made about this seller are warranted. I used to think they were just people with random unlucky experiences. I made several purchases with this seller in the past, but after my last one, I quit cold turkey.

I bought an openbox record player (audiophiles please shut up--it was a simple purchase to start my daughter's vinyl hobby). The description said that it was new with a damaged openbox. For $20, I took the plunge.

They shipped the record player using the SAME damaged box with packaging tape everywhere! So, by the time I received the box, it was falling apart with holes everywhere. The record player had dings and marks all over the suitcase. The spinning tray was falling out and the AC adapter was missing.

I complained to the seller via chat...waited 4 days. No response. eBay said that they would only interviene if the seller didn't respond within a week later. eBay advised that I find out the cost of a new shipping box through FedEx since I took pictures and showed the CSR that the existing box would never survive another shipment (as it barely survived this one) and then ask the seller to add that cost to the refund. FedEx told me it would cost about $15 for a new box. So, I'd have to lay out a total of $35 on the chance that the seller will refund anything or at best, I'd lose $15 on a defective purchase.

I wasn't doing this and I contacted my method of payment and they refunded me without issue. I was angry that they willingly took the loss for me, but I am a loyal customer for them now. Over 2 weeks later, VIP Outlet wrote back apologizing for their late reply and said that they would not cover me for the new shipping box, but would cover the original purchase after receiving the record player from me. I'm glad I didn't wait for them to respond. Learn from my story.

Vizio... OS? If it's possible to vomit and swallow it through a computer screen and somehow that screen shows streaming shows/movies I guess you could call it that.

Same here. Poor merchant rep. Please see the consumer awareness thread on this vendor

I don't blame you. I didn't realize the few decent orders I got from them was merely roulette. All it takes is one bad order from them for you to know to never do business with them again. I learned the hard way and I wish someone would learn from either you or me or someone else.

Your issue you didn't open a return which again is almost complete automated. You wrongly assumed contacting the seller would be the best course of action. A single negative review for a company with 790K review means nothing. Sadly this allows them dozens of negative review a month and can still hit a "Top Seller" status (it's just a numbers game). For smaller sellers; contact them they will almost always help but for these larger sellers in most cases your ONLY option it to open a return. I can't say all large sellers don't care but I can tell you it doesn't effect there seller rating to do a terrible job when they have a high enough volume. For those who have ears listen for large sellers save yourself future pain if your are taking the refurbished chance purchase a warranty or just open a return if they don't respond within 24 hours.

I actually did open a return. But the seller has to approve of it and they ignored me for over two weeks. By the time they "allowed" for a return, I already did a chargeback.
