T-mobile changed their upgrade policy since the last deal, good and bad.

Good:
Costco members can get their $100 upgrade gc, $35 connection fee waived, and 90 day return policy through online orders. No more waiting at the kiosk, no more hard upsells, no more calling the help desk. Order online at your convenience. Must start the order through the upgrade button on the Costco T-mobile page [costco.com]. If your trade-in IMEI is not accepted by the online system, you will have to call in or visit the kiosk where they can override the system.

Read the wiki, some SDers got the Costco link to work by either bruteforcing it to the end or adding the items in T-Life cart then switching to Costco to finish.

Bad:
Certain free lines no longer qualify for upgrade promos. Previously, all lines allowed upgrade promos, but no longer. You will have to check line by line to see which allows upgrading (the system will warn you if the line does not qualify). You can still stack upgrade EIP / promos on the same line then use the phone on a different line.

Be warned that Pixel 10 from T-Mobile will be bootloader locked. You will not be able to install grapheneOS.

I have an iPhone that I like and that I want to continue to use. But I also have an old broken phone that I want to exchange for this one. Is there a way to exchange the busted phone but continue to use my iPhone and still get the monthly credits?

Last time T-Mobile did this they raised the price of my plan $5 per line (they raised the price for a bunch of grandfathered plans). Don't trust them anymore not raise plan prices again with the way things are going.

Thanks for the info! That make me want to move to other carrier in the future once all my EIP paid off.
That sucks.

Bummer about the free lines not qualifying, I got excited for a moment. I hope this just applies to more generous promos like this, and not to the regular trade in promos going forward

Odd, I was seeing the promo on several lines but after I backed iut of checkout (due to "on us" line being ineligible) it no longer shows up on any lines, including paid ones.. Not sure if I spoiled it or if the promo just happened to get pulled

So if you have simple choice and did the $800 trade in, they permanently increase the price of your line?

I got this on my Magenta Max 55 plan but already tried the Pixel 10 and did not like it so I returned it. Too much stuff was different from my Samsung S23, and I heavily use Secure Folder (which Google does differently and not nearly as well as Samsung). Really wish they'd offer me a free upgrade to the S26

If we get the deal inside Costco kiosk or online using the new site is there a gc promo? Any advantages in either option? I worry store folks might mess up my plan

I have the One plan with a bunch of free lines. None of my line qualify for this, even the paid lines.
Your account wasn't targeted. Check again later on. In the previous iteration of this promo, T-mobile opened up the targeted list as time progressed.

Quote from ArmchairQB :
Anybody get this to apply to a Simple Choice Value plan?
Account is different than plan. No one here can tell you if your account is targeted for this promotion. Check for yourself through a mock upgrade. Other accounts with your plan may be targeted, that does not mean your account was.

Quote from Ludz :
If I still have remaining bill credits for the next several months on my current phone (Pixel 9)
Trade in a different phone. Mock upgrade to make sure you are targeted, and see what phones you can trade in. Broken phones are okay if you are targeted. Then buy whatever trade-in you have confirmed through the mock upgrade. Trade-ins could be obtain for less than $10.

And I just bought a used Pixel 8 last week to replace my kids cracked screen 🤦
What's the harm in getting another as a back-up to your back-up. Your kids already broken 1 phone.

Second data point on promo getting pulled around the same time.

I was at checkout, saw the add free earbuds for free, went to add, came back to check out and it became a add new line to get $600 off on the cart. Removed device, went back to re-add and promo was gone.

It can when the phone is paid off, unlike Verizon-based carriers. All Pixels other than Verizon (including cable operators) can be OEM/bootloader unlocked once they can be SIM unlocked.
But then you're just paying full price on the phone. The device bill credits only apply as long as you're making payments.

Unless you want to wait a year+ before trying Graphene, you may as well just buy it directly from Google.

Also possibly notable, at the same time the pixel 10 got moved waaay down the list of available phones for sale.. Previously it showed up right after the flagship galaxy and iPhones next to the 10a, but now I have to scroll to the bottom and jump to page 2 to find pixel 10 buried.. Pixel 10a is still up where it was.. Maybe it's a stock issue and promo will reappear when they approve more inventory to the website or something. It says the 10 is out of stock at my two closest stores
