This Pixel 10 upgrade promo is mainly a targeted T Mobile trade in deal that can make the phone, and sometimes Pixel Buds 2a, nearly free on qualifying lines. Costco ordering can waive the $35 connection fee and add a $100 shop card, while T Life often shows the offer when the website does not. The catch is that eligibility is picky, with some legacy, free, prepaid, or Advantage lines not qualifying, and the trade in tool may reject certain phones despite the any condition wording. Early payoff can forfeit remaining credits, so the best value comes from keeping the line active through the full credit period.

The screenshot I posted Was from this promo during checkout. For damaged devices only.Thankfully they don't enforce it, as my iphone 6 had never been on T-Mobile.Mine was not damaged though, even though I checked water damage, because I wasn't sure.https://slickdeals.net/f/19538010-t-mobile-targeted-pixel-10-upgrade-eip-any-trade-in-any-condition-any-plan?p=184586328#post184586328
Interesting, it definitely didn't say that on mine, but in promos where I did see the language I would get stopped at checkout when I entered the IMEI, saying the phone doesn't meet the history requirement on the account. That's why I proceeded, because (at least in the T-life app) it had demonstrated to me that it has the ability to qualify that condition in real time before the order is placed

Ordered through Costco. Received the trade in kit (envelope + UPS label). Is this the best way to send back the trade in device or should I take to tmo corp store?
I've done 15-20 trade-ins in the last 4 years. All have been shipped and haven't had an issue.
I'm not saying they're perfect, but you can do a lot to protect yourself:
  • keep pictures of the phone you're sending in
  • take a short video of the phone in working order before you put it in the shipping box
  • take a picture of the return label (or just write down the tracking number)
  • keep everything until you receive confirmation the trade-in is successful and you start receiving monthly credits
I've tried to return the trade-in to 3 different corporate stores, when I had doubts about whether my phone would be considered acceptable, but all 3 times were turned away by store reps saying they just send them in a package anyway. Turned out shipping phones in worked out for me.

Thanks! Tmo store accepted both of mine today. I like that I get an immediate confirmation and written proof of the acceptance. I trust ups but this was still more assurance for two $800 transactions

The "any condition" promo (R659) also disappeared for me online and at t-life earlier today. But tforce told me it was still active and I was eligible. Thinking today might be the last day it was active, I pulled the trigger with some placeholder galaxy a15 5g IMEIs. The actual a15s I ordered online will arrive over the weekend. Will I be ok to submit the a15 trade in at a corporate store with a different IMEI than that in the order?
I was glad I pulled the trigger on 5/28 when the promo R659 looked disappeared for me. After confirming with t-force it was still active and I was eligible, I did 4 pixel 10 upgrade orders online via the costco channel, each with a free pixel buds 2a. I had to use some placeholder galaxy a15 5g IMEIs while waiting for 4 prepaid a15s that I bought to be shipped to me. I tried to submit the trade in devices (now with mismatched IMEIs) in one corporate store and they said they would basically ship for me without giving me a deferred trade in receipt. Today, I tried another corporate store. They immediately recognized the IMEI was different but went ahead to enter the actual device info and accepted the trade in as the phone model was the same.

Between my wife and I we'd have to spend $1,200 more for phone plan feature we don't care about over 2 years to qualify for this, but we'd save $1,600 on phones. A net gain of $400 is good, but I think we can do better on the 10 in a few months when the 11 comes out.

Flawed math. You'll get this deal and save money and be stuck with a more expensive plan forever. Flash forward 6 months to a year and your new plan stays the same price but now they release another newer plan and you no longer get the phone deals. I can't stress this enough, you will never be money ahead with T-Mobile switching your plan if you plan on staying forever. I'm still on the One plan and laugh at some of these crazy bills I hear about, but hey, they got $800 off or a free iPhone. Enjoy, I'll enjoy my 11 lines for $115/month.

Does factory resetting a pixel 7 automatically turn off find my device? Or need to turn it off before factory reset?

Having trouble submitting info to get the Costco $100 gift card after upgrading. I placed the Pixel 10 order through the Costco online channel on May 31. I didn't receive any info about the gift card via email, but I did come across a promotions link after google searching. After filling out the form, it shows a message that appears to have a missing link (see screenshot). Any suggestions?

I thought you don't need to submit a form any more to get the $100 Costco cash

I have free with trade in Pixel 10a on Magenta. The regular 10 is only $500 off with trade in.
Same here unfortunately. Not worth it IMHO.

You can do it right now if you pay the phone off early. Not sure if T-Mobile still early credits. You do have to wait 40 days after paying off the device to unlock on T-Mobile. Lookback period for fraudlent payoff.
You lose credits if you pay off early

I'm chatting with T-Mobile support on X to check the status of the Costco $100 gift card, but they don't seem to know anything about the promotion. Is there a rebate or promotion number that they can use as a reference?
