I'm under 40 but have an AARP membership because it saves me soooo much money (like hundreds a year) on home and auto insurance thru Citizens. And reading the monthly magazine is helping me prepare for aging and taking care of myself, finances, etc.
18 or older.
"How old do I have to be to join AARP?
While AARP is dedicated to people over 50, anyone 18 and older can join for as low as $15 for the first year with automatic renewal." https://www.aarp.org/membership/bc5-calc-age/
Okay, so I'm turning 50 and beginning to think about the shit old people do. What do you use an AARP membership for, other than maybe car insurance? Are the discounts actually worthwhile, or are they on the same level as what you can get with various credit cards, groupon, SlickDeals, and just being a generally savvy shopper?
