I see it as well. Tempting. They did remove the Disney+/Hulu perk, but the 5 year deals are actually better than 1 year deals, which was what was offered last week. Great that it's also available for existing customers from what I can see on my account.

Log into your account and click choose to change/update your plan. I do see it in my account.

For anyone who has it, how is their Wifi gateway? Do they also provide mesh network or pods/extenders as part of the equipment?

I have always used my own modem and router, but my current equipment will not support that fast of speeds.

I switched to 300 Mbps on May 13 w/ 5 yr plan for $55. I tried chatting but refused to reduce to $ 40.

They sent Xb8 modem/router. It is included in this $ 55 price. Must do autp pay. They will not provide extenders. You have to pay $ 15 more.

Do you have to use ever gateways and routers? I have my own that I like and don't really want to swap. I do want to save money though.

This needs a massive YMMV, lol. Pricing and speeds are going to vary significantly by region.

Did you try viewing as a new user for your address?

If it appears that way then maybe you can call them and ask to amend it that way since it would appear for new accounts

I have always used my own modem and router, but my current equipment will not support that fast of speeds.

Do you need those enhanced speeds?

I've also always used my own equipment and refuse to use their gateway since (to my knowledge) it's what acts as a mesh node for their Mobile Network.

Been with ATT for forever. Might as well switch. I use the ATT modem. Will Xfinity provide the modem and if so how much?

how did you switch to the $55 plan? did you call retentions, visit store, or did a online chat with xfinity support?

Your knowledge is a bit off. They have a wifi hotspot option on their gateways but you can easily turn it off with the app. You can also put it in bridge mode if you really want to use your own router but I'm good the wifi 6 2.5GB capable one they provide at no charge.

Thanks for that point of clarification.
I remember reading that people were actively trying to turn off their gateway's hotspot for that reason.
