Anybody tracking recent NCL cruise prices - is this a real deal or just their standard ad?

Cruiseplum helps track and evaluate, but they don't watch all the 'bonuses'.

all cruises are great. Just have a friendly Agent give you Agent's price vs. any nonsense "sale" price a cruiseline puts up

These are all public prices. Connect with a real cruise agent to get the best deals. We can work wonders sometimes

Would the friendly cruise agent throw in a case of Hantavirus or at least Noravirus in for free? How about Legionnaires as a package deal?

I can only speak for the one specific cruise that I've been eyeing for a couple months and the current price is the same its been all along. However the $100/$150 onboard credit for booking balcony is something that hasn't always been there so I guess you could say its $100/$150 cheaper.

Why not? It's like the one thing I would use a travel agent for. They don't charge anything and they usually have access to bonus onboard credit. Show us on the doll where the travel agent touched you.

Average consumer is oblivious. They believe that prices as displayed by cruiselines is "what they are". Thus they click and book $100-150/night...Fact of the matter is that only the (very few) $199-299 fares shown by cruiselines as "flash deals" have almost no commissions in them. All other $399-$1599 fares have enormous amounts of fat in them. Cruiselines themselves will not sweeten your pockets. Agents have that leeway. So whatever is claimed by NCL to be 50% off (and thus "only" $1,099pp lol) has another 50% of fat in it...One can end up with $30-40/night fare...You think cruiseline would be losing money at that price point, but cruiseline counts (mass statistics back them up) on additional cruiser spend + potentially unlimited gambling. I sail for $300 and spend nothing additional, but some other people I brought on board at same price - managed to gamble away $3000 during sailing!!! I don't invite them anymore, but cruiseline keeps offering them free cruises lol

That's the insights we need on these cruise deals, thanks!
