The only thing they've announced is a price increase later this year (https://www.nintendo.co.jp/corpor...60508.html). The new price will be at this price point ($500) for the console with no game. I think these deals are just to try to acclimate people to the higher price, but $500 for the console with a choice of 3 games I'm not interested in isn't enough to make me bite.
At this point, I still have S1 games I haven't played, I think I'll just hold off until I can pick up a used S2 at a reasonable price while I work through my backlog of games or when S2 is at the end of its generation and there's a better games library for the system.

The Switch 2 is still the cheapest console of the generation. The gaming industry as a whole is in a pretty rough state. In the span of about a decade, it's gone from affordable for just about any budget, to a luxury entertainment with only those with plenty of disposable cash should apply, and things will get worse, we're far from the light at the end of the tunnel.

Maybe about $405 shipped before tax. This IS cheaper than this bundle by a few bucks (Pokopia is about $70 -10%... to 63, so if you bought the swtich WITH pokopia it would be $468, or about $32 cheaper than with this deal).

But if I just buy it at a normal store using my Citi Strata card, I get 4% cashback (current Walmart promo expires 5/31) with a 2 year warranty extension and I don't have to waste time shuckin' and jivin' e-shop cards 😁

I'm still waiting for the PS5 to become worth it. After almost six years it's still not worth it. You can count the number of exclusives on one hand. At least the Switch 2 will have more exclusives in its first year than the PS5 has had in six! Crazy!

I don't think so - Switch pricing is being increased by $50 (so $500/$550) on September 1st, so BF pricing will probably be $450 console/$500 bundles.
