This EGO 56 volt 26 inch hedge trimmer stands out for strong cutting power, long battery life, and the rotating handle and adjustable angle that make hedge shaping easier. The included 2.5 amp hour battery is reported to run about 45 to 60 minutes and recharge in under an hour, with enough power for thick shrubs and even some limbs around 1.5 to 2 inches. The main caution is weight, and thicker overgrown branches can stall it and damage the blade. It is best suited to bushes and regular hedge work rather than heavy brush.
The included 2.5Ah battery can run the hedge trimmer continuously for about 45 to 50 minutes.
The trimmer can recharge in under an hour and cut through thick shrubs effectively.
The rotating handle is a standout feature that helps with hedge shaping from multiple angles.
The adjustable angle feature can help create smooth hedge lines on all sides.
The trimmer can stall on thicker overgrown branches and may damage the blade during cutting.
The battery may appear to die quickly if it sits for more than a month at a high charge level.
The battery self-discharge behavior can require manually resetting the battery timer before 30 days.
The trimmer is not lightweight, which can make extended trimming less comfortable.
